I have recently started making leather bags and want to expand my designs by engraving them. Any thoughts on the best way to do this?

Hi Patricia. I have never tried this myself, but in my browsing of arts and crafts websites and forums, I have seen many posts that say laser engraving works brilliantly on leather. I have come across the name Epilog Laser a few times in posts. You should check them out Patricia!

      Hi Patricia,
I have just purchased a 40w C02 laser for the same purpose, it will cut and engrave most leathers – if they fit on the cutting bed.
just need to be careful with the fumes given off. Latigo stinks and some (cheap & nasty) Chrome tanned leathers can give off potentially harmful gases, i have some posts on my instagram page if you waant to have a look , or let me know if you have any other questions that i can maybe help with?
