Guidance on pressure pots

I’ll keep my eye on this topic, it’s something I have planned for later when funds permit!

I’ve been looking for a pressure pot myself and the price that is asked for them is very prohibitive if someone knows of a cheaper way of making/buying one I would like to know ?

I got my pot from them all set up for casting. They are a little cheaper than house of resin and it’s the exact same pot (they suppply house of resin)

there really isn’t anything special about a pressure pot. In the U.S. people very often buy a cheap paint pot from harbor freight and modify it for a few dollars, I’m not sure if you guys have a similar purveyor of cheap imported tools, but I would imagine so.

I paid £5 for mine! I bought it at an ‘outdoor and agricultural’ auction, mainly because no-one knew what it was ( even the auctioneer ) and nobody wanted one so check all online auction houses, you’ll be surprised at the amount of curious things that turn up ripe for upcycling. 🙂

How does the modification work? Is it simply removing the stirring hole (if you have a paint pressure pot) and then finding a method of closing the hole left?
