Hey Charlie. It’s really important to take good care of your tools, that way they’ll last much longer! The most important thing is to clean your tools after each use and before you store them away. Give them a good wipe with a cloth and get rid of any dirt or grease. While you’re doing this have a quick check for any splinters or defects – you may need to replace tools if they become flawed. If you get any rust, you can use a wire brush to remove it. Once your tools are clean, give them a light spray with something like WD-40 (wiping off any excess) and then store them away. If you get any roughness on wooden handles, just give them a light sand and then use something like linseed oil to protect them.
